Who is responsible

Desire Atlas is responsible for the information handled through this service. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to support@desireatlas.online.

What the service is

Desire Atlas provides entertainment-only surveys for adults exploring sexual archetypes, interests, and experiences. The surveys are not medical, psychological, therapeutic, or diagnostic tools.

Information collected

  • An email address used to verify access and retrieve private history.
  • Required survey choices and free-text answers.
  • The calculated score or archetype and the survey/scoring version used.
  • Optional age bracket, relationship structure, gender identity, and country responses.
  • Records of required service consent and optional analysis and announcement choices, including their policy version and time.
  • Essential security and delivery records such as token status, email delivery status, rate-limit counters, and redacted application events.
  • An essential cookie recording 18+ confirmation and secure session cookies.

The service does not use advertising pixels, behavioural tracking, or traffic analytics.

Why information is used

  • To validate answers, calculate a result, and show dated history.
  • To verify email ownership and protect private pages.
  • To compare a new score with a historically comparable result.
  • To respond to access, correction, de-linking, erasure, and support requests.
  • To prevent misuse, investigate faults, and protect the service.
  • With separate optional consent, to create de-identified aggregate analysis or announce a new survey.

Required service processing, optional aggregate analysis, and optional announcements use separate choices. Declining an optional choice does not prevent someone from receiving a survey result.

How identity is separated

Email addresses are designed to be encrypted and looked up through a keyed hash. Answers and optional demographics are encrypted using a separate key and connected through a random internal identifier. Encryption keys are kept outside the database.

Email discretion

Transactional emails use discreet subjects and preview text. When you explicitly ask us to email a survey result, the message includes the score or archetype and its explanation. Individual answers and demographics remain on the site.

Aggregate analysis

Responses are included in aggregate articles or analysis only where the applicable consent and law permit. De-identification removes direct identifiers and reduces unusual combinations that could identify someone. De-identified does not mean that every dataset is automatically safe to publish, so each output requires a disclosure-risk review.

Service providers and international access

Desire Atlas uses specialist hosting, database, backup, and transactional-email providers to operate the service. Those providers may process information internationally, and Australian-only data residency is not promised. Further information about these providers is available on request where appropriate.

Information is not sold. It may be disclosed to contracted providers that operate the service, to professional advisers under duties of confidence, or where disclosure is required by law. Provider access should be limited to what is necessary for their role.

Retention

Verified survey history is intended to remain available while the service operates so a participant can compare results over time. This preference is subject to consent, applicable law, privacy requests, and periodic review of whether continued retention is still necessary.

  • Unverified drafts are proposed to expire after 30 days.
  • Access links and sessions expire after their documented security window.
  • Delivery and security records use shorter operational retention periods.
  • Backups follow a rotating schedule. Approved erasure instructions are replayed after a backup restoration before the service reopens.

Erasure and de-linking requests

A signed-in participant can send a protected privacy request. The request is confirmed by email, reviewed by the operator, assigned a reference, and followed by a discreet completion notice. A support request is available when the original inbox has been lost, but recovery or disclosure may be refused when ownership cannot be established safely.

You may request erasure of identifiable information, de-linking of your email address from survey responses, or both. After de-linking, it may no longer be possible to retrieve those responses or include them in your history. Information may be retained where it is required for security, legal compliance, or to record that a request was completed.

Adults only

Participants must confirm that they are at least 18. The service does not intentionally collect information from children. Contact support@desireatlas.online if information may have been submitted by a minor.

Changes and contact

This page will be updated when the service or its information practices materially change. Where required, participants will be asked to review or consent to a changed use before it occurs.
